Idealism is Exhausting but Necessary.

Image
Idealism: I am an Idealist. I cannot help myself. I just am. Like being honest, it is hard. Hard to see the best in other’s and oneself, or a situation. But, I must caution, do not believe everything you think. Be mindful, pay attention and be motivated to see the Truth. We tend to form an impression or opinion within the first few minutes. We can hope for the best, as long as we are not disappointed by the worst. To master our minds we must be vigilant, attentive, and engaged with the outside world as well as and especially with our interior landscape. It is all about expectations. If we expect too much we will invariably be disappointed. Idealism is a state of mind and feeling. The majority of our self-talk is critical. Our default is to see things the way we wish them to be. The shadow side of Idealism is sloth. If we do not get our way we disengage and we become negative and complain. I know this all too well. If I am not present and aware of what is goin...

May their Demise be Glorious

Image
May their Demise be Glorious I am empty But not wanting Alone but Not lonely Let your heart Be a fertile field For love is the  Only real I used to have big thoughts On little things Now I have small thoughts On large things My mind is what Arjuna saw In Krishna’s mouth People dying in wars and famine Destruction and chaos There is no savior On a white steed With a flaming sword Coming to save you Your religion is a fairy tale To abuse and control you All your gods are monsters Who corrupt, defile, and use you Some will sacrifice themselves  Instead of living life to its fullest They have surrendered everything And claim themselves the victims I used to have big feelings On big things It broke me and made me ill And almost killed me I have been accused  Of falling in love with everyone While looking  For their goodness Now it is harder to get through  the petty selfish wanting  To find the pure at heart Empathetic caring pilgrims Who walks amongst ...

Everything is a lie

Image
Everything is a lie All the truths on which we rely Everything is an illusion We think it is real In a trance Drunk on self-delusion Meritocracy is a myth Fairness and equity Does not exist  Adlled minds with Black hearts and  Unbridled rage With unlimited riches And unchecked power Petty tyrants in their Bunkers and islands Castles in darkness Strategize and cower Hierarchies are feudal And the Peter Principle Is the feature not a bug These selfish arrogant Slave traders were obviously Never hugged as a child Capitalism is sanctioned Cruelty in which the ones In chains are in the thrall of oligarchy I am empty but not wanting Alone but not lonely Let your heart Be a fertile field For love is the only thing That is real

Hold the Line

Image
Hold the Line From my ivory tower Surrounded by barbed wire The Empire and Society  Are dying by the hour Hell is empty All the demons Walk amongst us Monsters all Terrorize us  As they rape and pillage Moral standards Have died upon the hill Of shameless self-entitled interests Utopia dystopia All are empty Cornicopias Thirsty spirits Hungry souls In our hearts A gaping hole Minds polluted  With toxic Stinted thinking Oligarchs With big truck Small dick energy Destroying any chance Of any kind of synergy Derision bad decisions  Inappropriate behavior They make a barbarian Their savior From my perch From where I sit With all I know And all that I value And all that I hold dear I refuse with all my might I will not live in fear These monsters will Kill each other And eat themselves Until then hold the line There may come a time When their heads are on a spike Until that time… Don’t lose your mind Until then embrace and lock arms Stand together and Hold that line ...

Monsters Don’t Feel Shame!

Image
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you. Friedrich Nietzsche They don’t, they just don’t. Other people who struggle to be good citizens wince at the thought of doing something slightly inappropriate. Not saying they are prudes. That they are just mature and informed. They know that being an asshole will only get you so far. Make a mistake. Realize it and accept you are wrong and apologize. It is just that easy. Feel some shame and do better next time.  Admitting we are wrong is hard. Facts are not hard; accepting them should not be hard. However, our ego does not want us to be wrong. So, we will justify, rationalize, and rely on our biases to hide from the truth. We fight our natural impulse to connect to others and their viewpoint – if anything, for our survival – yet we cling to what serves our self-interests as we sacrifice our morality. We canno...

Why Authoritarians Love Religion

THE DISEASE

THE DISEASE Micro regressions lead to macro deceptions which wither the heart weakens the mind and paralyzes the will souls are complicit in the disease the disease it feeds with no release it lives and thrives as the morally challenged keep taking and don’t give morality dies as self-interest tries to comfort, cajole that this is right before the frowny faces and deliberate snarls the disease it seeps into our being to appease to feed your hate, your victim-hood it finds that weakness in the corner of your shadows in encourages, magnifies, and amplifies that pain that lies within not shine light on and into but more darkness more bile deflower, deny, and denigrate and it does it with a smile.

Brave New 1984

Image
Pivoting to 1984 from Brave New World will end badly. What happens when the poor, dis-empowered, dispossessed, and disengaged can’t afford to distract and escape through doom scrolling, gaming, and streaming? What happens then? They will be angry. And the ones who are more likely to be violent and take actions to express their displeasure beyond boycotting, protesting, and marching are those who voted for the situation we find ourselves in.  They are also people who believe the unbelievable. To buy into conspiracy theories. They are more apt not to apply critical thinking and use reason and logic.  The dystopian reality up to this point, since the 1980s and Reagan’s neoliberalism, could be likened to the novel by Aldous Huxley, Brave New World. The people who use BNW as a cultural slur have most likely never read it, and it shows through their ignorance and biases. But it is the controlled reality we have been living in. It is Bread and Circuses - what the ancient Roman Elites...

FIRST PRINCIPLES - Got One?

Image
What is a first principle and why should I care?,   It is the root of the root. It is the seed from which your entire being springs forth. It determines your personality and your character – springs forth. My first principle is kindness. It is my default. I did not choose it. It developed as I did.  A drummer in a band I was in told me I fall in love with everyone. That I was a delicate flower. Rather than a weed, I suppose. A woman I dated said that she did not feel safe with me. She said that I would put a flower in the gun of someone who would try and rob us. Well, I would try reasoning before taking action. What's the alternative to dying over what is in my wallet? Kindness has helped me a lot over my lifetime. It allowed me to forge relationships. A smile will help to show that I am approachable. A grimace not so much. Why have a first principle? Consider it your north star. It will help guide you when things get dark. If you don't know which way to turn or go. It w...

Liberation Memo 1

Liberation Memo #1 The black seeds of hatred so favored by pale faced cowards who profess strength who resist truth who can’t even see their necktie is a noose while they strangle the golden goose murder any phoenix that struggles to transmute when it comes to political violence they are resolute if it don’t hurt me, they think then by all means it can and must hurt thee. This is not power not strength but banal petty evil weakness for all to see we see you we know who you are karma is a bitch but she is patient.
